Most of our Audio Visual Equipment installation projects are done in buildings or rooms that require sensitivity of the surroundings - disguised or hidden cabling, discreet loudspeakers, projectors and projection screens that "disappear" when not in use (the latter can be retractable or even switchable glass).
Therefore sometimes you'll find it hard to see where we've discreetly installed the equipment in our projects!
On the whole we install fewer loudspeakers which project the sound to where it is required, whilst minimising feedback (that squeaky/howl round sound we all dislike) if there are live microphones involved in an installation.
We're in the 'Digilogue' phase of technology - there's some excellent digital equipment becoming available but it's still got to work with analogue equipment (older laptop computers that don't have digital outputs for example)!
Digital Signal Processor (DSP) based equipment is now very clever and can save a lot of space compared with the analogue equivalent. With more (hidden) capabilities, DSP based equipment makes an installation simpler to use and deters "knob-twiddlers" from upsetting the carefully planned equipment settings.
Therefore the right equipment can increase the quality of the end result for a similar price.
